Overview
Stan’s Place is a great example of how WordPress can be used and extended to meet very specific needs. Stan needed a way to post his entire menu online, while making it easy to edit and update. But he also had a number of special requests, like having different prices for different menu types and being able to create customized specials. Stan also wanted a more updated design.
Process
It’s taken us quite a while to figure out the best approach for this satisfies an easy administration system and a clean user experience. After developing a more modern design that reflected the atmosphere of Stan’s Place, I customized the page structure to integrate into a new kind of template for listing customized menus. I also added some slick administration plugins to help make managing all the pages easier.
I think it turned out great and I think his clients will find this much more accessible than his previous site.
